IPC-7351 specifies the courtyard for bottom only terminations of 0.1 to 0.5
mm for density C to density A. However, I think what you're looking for is
the 0.1" recommendation that I recall from my CID class, which as far as I
know is just a guideline for rework.

I would suggest looking in IPC-7095C, which deals with BGAs specifically,
but I don't own a copy so I can't say for sure there's anything helpful in
there.
