Other than a few rigid and flexible PCB manufacturers in Toronto and Sierra Wireless out west making specific ICS, I am not aware of any Canadian manufacturers of any electronic components. There used to be the Nortel connector plant in Lachine and Murata Erie in Trenton, Ontario; both are gone now. The electronics industry has been left to die by both the Liberals and Conservatives (for our American friends, our equivalents of Democrats and Republicans, shifted somewhat to the left). So sad.
If I am mistaken about Canadian component manufacturers, I sure would like to know about it.
