many theories around, including officially put out by sammy (QC problem
and vendor problem), none holds water so far from my point of view.
all Li ion battery heat up if not used properly - or design protection is
insufficient. there are hardware and software integration can be minimize
the fault. sammy issued firmware update to limited charging to 60% ish,
but still explode. most interesting, it is explode when sitting idle...
not charging, not using, but sleeping... (not power off). someone
speculate the app runs at background causes rush current - overheat the
battery... but it is sitting idle... how many "background" app that droid
allow to run? something really strange... some design oversight I
believe...
let me know if you find out....
