Correct.  An interesting lesson in clarity or lack of it.  I like the quote from someone on TechNet a few years back, referring to a former manager who had degrees in chemistry and English and who had a plaque on his desk saying (approximately), "It is not sufficient that we write in such a way that we can be understood. We must write in such a way that we cannot possibly be misunderstood."  

Thanks to Denny, Tom and Steve for their good information. I knew the foil people had been working on roughness measurements, and any input from that corner was likely to be more than enough for my needs. Zygo and Tencore I had heard of, but never used and had forgotten.
