Hi,

I am trying to find out if a laser drilled via stacked on to a copper plated epoxy filled mech drilled inner core via infringes any industry design rules.

I have pulled a lot of data together and I can see this construction mentioned but no notes about design rule infringement.

Obviously a filled via core is going to have a different CTE than the rest of the stack up so this construction will see more stress on TCT.

Any comments welcome

John
