Ink Stamp here for assemblies, but have a good story with respect to good vs bad on bare boards.
This goes back quite a few years and a few companies ago, but we had some prototype bare boards delivered which we assembled, went to test them and loads of shorts, opens, all kinds of issues!
The answer we got back from the board fabricator was the operator confused the left pile of boards with the right pile of boards and we were shipped the bad pile.
Brings new meaning to the left hand didn't know what the right was doing!
