My esteemed colleague is referring to another of the half fractional
elements - Hootnium 109.5. It was named after Dr. Siegfried VonHoot, one of
the German scientist who came to America with Werner Von Braun.  There are
no existing pictures of Dr. VonHoot as he tended to be both clumsy and
absent minded, often getting far too close to his experiments, most notably
close-up views of rocket blasts which left him scarred and disfigured.  Dr.
VonHoot was examining radioactive elements in the Trinity Atoll in 1967
when he made his discovery.  Unfortunately, Dr. VonHoot came to an untimely
end.  He missed the warning of a subsequent atomic test in the area and was
subsequently vaporized.  Tragic.  The material was rediscovered by other
scientists on his team who learned to observe from a safer distance.
Interestingly enough, a number of scientists on that team knew of half
fractional elements, but also observed the untimely demise of all the
primary discoverers.  Consequently, no one has stepped forward to put their
name to the re-discovery.  Cowards.
