Quiet time at the vineyard. So I say the boys need to help out Tom and Lamar.

They could come here and hang out. (And raid the wine cellar and irritate the Abbot!)

Or they could go to warmer climates and be their dedicated selves.

Now if you will excuse me I'm off to boil urine.

(Why do I think there's a fractional element somewhere in here?)

Oops! Too much wine! Mea culpa!

Greg

Subject: [TN] Element Quiz Answer

Here is the Element Quiz Answer:

>

> The Question:

> This element's name is derived from a Greek word. This element has 10

known allotropic forms. This element was discovered by boiling down 60 buckets of urine which produced a distilled residue that glowed in the dark and would burst into flames. Most of the compounds of this element are extremely dangerous as poisons. But - this element is essential for all living cells. Which element is being described?

The Answer:

The element is Phosphorus (P)! Phosphorus derives its name from the Greek "phosphoros" which means "bringer of light" or "light bearing". Phosphorus is very unusual in terms of the number of allotropic forms it has which are categorized into 3 colors for ease of keeping them straight: red, white and black. White phosphorus is the most useful allotropic form but ignites spontaneously when exposed to air. Phosphorus is a component of DNA, assists in the transport of calcium and found in both ATP and GMP - all critical functions for a living cell.

Lots of correct responses this week - folks apparently know their urine facts.

> The winners of the quiz is Greg Munie (IPC), Lamar Young (SCS Inc.),

> and

Tom Carroll (Boeing Defense, Space and Security)! This has never happened before but all three hit the firewall at the same time. They will share the services of Clumpy and Kloumpios for the week. Looks like the boys will be logging some driving time bouncing between their three facilities (at least its pretty much a straight line going East!).

Hopefully they'll work up a sufficient appetite so they won't complain about all the turkey sandwiches next week.

Week 105 Leland Woodall, CSTech Inc

- Good deal! I'll pick up the boys at RDU tonight and we'll head to the coast one more time this year tomorrow morning. After filling the coolers with spots, croakers, and blues, we'll settle in for some NFL and brewskis on Sunday. Monday through Friday they can assist me with a week-long customer audit. I have to give them a little pleasure before the pain!
