Here is the Element Quiz Answer

The Question:
This element's name is derived from an Arabic word. It is an excellent
neutron absorber and is a dopant in silicon transistor chips as a current
flow regulator. A hydride of this element finds application as a rocket
fuel booster. It is used in cosmetics, soaps and adhesives. Which element is
being described?

The Answer:
The element is Boron (B)! The element name is derived from the Arabic word
"bawraq" which means "white borax". Boron rods are used to control the rate
of fusion in nuclear reactors. Boron has hundreds of commercial uses with
most folks being familiar with the boron compound borax. Powdered boron is
explosive in air.
