I used to use simple hi-temperature lithium grease for that application and it worked very well.
Just be sure your machine is no longer under warranty, as using anything other than what they recommend during the warranty period could void it.

Hi All!

Our maintenance technician just came to me with a quote he got from Vitronics/Soltec for some lube for the wave solder pot spindles (the ones that raise and lift the solder pot), and I about crapped my pants! They want $729.64 for a 400-gram tube!! Holy cow! Do any of you know of any other grease that is more reasonable that works good? I just can't see paying that much for grease...
