Actually these spindles get fat too hot to touch. The grease will smoke as it covers the spindle and tilt bearings.

The pot jacks are not really in a high temperature environment. I would imagine this to be a high pressure grease (as in the old Fuji mechanisms).

Hi Steve,
We run Vitronics/soltec machines as well and we ran into the same problem. This is a special high temp. grease that cost a lot To be shipped from the Netherlands. We buy it from Lubcon in Grand Rapids Mi. The part number is Turmotemp II/400 it costs us $192.00

Subject: [TN] Lubrication for wave solder pot lift spindles

Hi All!

Our maintenance technician just came to me with a quote he got from Vitronics/Soltec for some lube for the wave solder pot spindles (the ones that raise and lift the solder pot), and I about crapped my pants! They want $729.64 for a 400-gram tube!! Holy cow! Do any of you know of any other grease that is more reasonable that works good? I just can't see paying that much for grease...

Steve
