I hate to say, it depends.
After cleaning with the Clorox wipes, you will need to verify the surface resistance of ESD mats is still within specification or not (I believe 1 x 109 ohms resistance to ground). Or check with the manufacturer of the ESD mats for their cleaning instructions for acceptable cleaning solvents for their mats and see if chlorine bleach would be detrimental or not..
I don't blame your operators from wanting a clean work area, but they actions should not be allowed to be detrimental to the operational function of your ESD mats.

Subject: [TN] ESD concern
We usually clean the ESD work tables with a product called Reztore. Now some employees feel that this product is not getting the tables clean enough so they are using Clorox wipes. Will this strip the ESD properties from the table top? If they use the Clorox wipes and then come after and wipe down with Reztore, would that be acceptable.
