Hi Steve, Thanks. I had read through this report previously but it is not conclusive as there were issue which cannot really pin-point to what is the actual problem. It might be due to contact points issue between the plug(male) and socket(female) connectors instead of issue due to press-fit pins to PTH holes. Thanks

Hi GA Tan,
Here's a nice report from NASA regarding connector reliability for space. It is from 2007, but has some good information nonetheless. It was their conclusion at the time to not allow press-fit for space hardware and gives quite a number of reasons why:

Dear All,
I will like to check whether anyone have information on whether Press-fit connectors had been used for space applications? Thanks
