The components are 0402” up to BGA 50x50.

We joint all data and it is used the same criteria.

Current we have 4 SMT Line (3 Lines with NPM-W @2011 and 1 Line XP1/2 @2004).

We would like to use the benchmark index to start the control.

Thank you

Assunto: Re: [TN] Pick and Place Performance (Reject Rate)

What parts are picked?

How old are they?

Were they stored properly?

Are the recommended PM's performed?

Depends on the machine, feeder, nozzle and part.

I have parts that are far better than that and marginally designed material that is worse.

Parts that vary more than the allowed tolerance tend to have low pick rates and ones with inconsistent finishes, badly applied or inflexible tape and difficult features for vacuum pick up are lower.

My information is on a machine that was spec'ed on performance rather than price and has less than 4k hours on it.

It does a terrific job on the jobs in its wheelhouse and not so great on ones outside the strike zone. The previous statement can be made for most machines still in production.

A machine and tooling that has not been maintained will have much worse results. Nothing new there.

Hello to all

Whats the index acceptable to reject (component pickup error) in the pick
and place machines?

For example we have 4 NPM-W and today we reject rate is around ~0,03%. Is it
number 0,03 good rate or not? Whats the index PPM to excellent performance
to pickup in the pick and place machines?

Thank you
