I seem to being a seeing a "theme" here. It looks like and awful lot of the discovers of half fraction elements come to an untimely end! Anyone else notice this?

Subject: Re: [TN] Element Quiz Question
My esteemed colleague refers to another of the half fractional elements, Grouchium (Gm 32.5). It is relatively rare (imagine that) and found in the mineral ore Irritite and the only known deposits of Irritite are near the town of Hesse, Germany. Grouchium has been shown to have a neurological impact on humans, predominantly keeping affected individual in a perpetual angry or irritated state. In Roman times, the Romans found the residents of Hesse to be so disagreeable they termed them “inritatior hominis”, and the town on Roman maps simply labelled as Inritatior with a notation “Et non egredieris inde huc” (don’t go here). On the other hand, Grouchium is actually quite tasty and was added to local sausages, especially those that fed Hessian soldiers in the Army. Not even the vaunted Roman Legions would face Hessian soldiers hopped up on Grouchium sausages.
Grouchium was first isolated in pure form by Dr. Verrückt Verärgert, at the University of Berlin – Kottmar, in 1933. Sadly, his research was cut short by his tragic demise. Dr. Verärgert, not being the most ethical of men, decided to use his wife as a test subject for his experiments of the effects of pure Grouchium on the nervous system. Dr. Verärgert was, quite frankly, an idiot as Frau Verärgert was 6 inches taller and 100 pounds heavier than he was, and could easily bench press Holsteins. Dr. Verärgert found out first-hand the effects of an element which makes people very angry as there were only small pieces of him left for the authorities to identify. Wisely, Frau Verärgert was not charged. Sadly, the rest of Dr.
Verärgert’s work was lost during WW2, but it was rumored that neither the Nazis, the Russians, nor the Americans would go within a 100 miles of Kottmar as Frau Verärgert was still there.
I have Dave this time. He only gave one hint, not the usual multi-hint, so he has nothing to disqualify me on, and my Latin is better than Dave’s.
