Dear TechNetters:

Has anybody information about reliability of NanoFoil soldering ? Problems known with AlNi metal phase in SI / CU soldering? Application is automotive with requirtements of temperature from -40 to 105°C, vibration 60g and 15 years lifetime...

HI-POT is an optional test for cards requiring higher voltage environments - Airbus had this requirement due to lightning susceptibility.

Many times it is used to qualify the design only, but many designs require verification of isolation capability due to critical performance requirements.
