Victor,

Could it be an inclusion in the PI?

And,

We do occasionally see voids in Polyimide films.

Chuck

Chuck,

Yes, It does appear to be an FPC Product, Rigid Flex assembly. The
cross section revealed an unusual layer stack with different shades in the
laminate. Some with glass bundles and others without glass. The large
voids appear to be concentrated on the layers with non-glass laminate
regions. Perhaps a polyimide layer. I don?t have the vendor stack up
information, thickness nor material construction.

And,

Is this a flex circuit? What is the construction?
I don't see any glass fiber and the layers appear to be connected by an
adhesive.

I think more information is required. It does appear to be a long way
from the patients heart.

Chuck

How can on call it an anomaly/defect if one is unable to discern the
anomaly/defect.

With this size range, I would be concerned. Nice sections!
