Hi Ioan-

The common way to do rectangles is with an array of pins.

As far as repeatability, it's the infamous "it depends". Stamps are commonly
used for precision semiconductor die attach purposes, which is a complicated
environment because the assembly process is typically pretty slow, so you
need a process which doesn't have a huge dependency on how long the material
is left out. They work better than a syringe drive by compressed air. Sorry
I can' t put any numbers on it.

Wayne

Subject: [TN] Epoxy stamping (pin transfer) tool

Dear Technos,

I have often dealt with round tools, but for this particular application it
would be more productive to have a rectangular one.

Can a non-conductive epoxy transfer tool be rectangular? What about the
maximum size (ideally I need a 1 mm x 4 mm) and how repeatable epoxy
deposits would be?

Thanks,
