Need your help folks,

Is the material (FR4 fiberglass, metal and chemicals) present in panel edges (cut off after production build) considered a HazMat substance, or can it be safely moved into the waste stream (read: landfill) without risking any ecological repercussions? I know the leaded solder dross that we produce as a byproduct of the manufacturing process is a HazMat substance and we recycle that. Just not sure about the materials in the panel edges...

Any input on this subject from TechNet would be appreciated!

Thank you,
Dale Ritzen, ASQ CQA
