Thanks Dave,
Sorry Doug,
I'll put the little guys to work trying to find my desktop while I'm plating up some blind micro-vias.
If they do good I might take them after some big Musky on the New river. I hope Muskies don't like to eat Gnomes!

Subject: [TN] NTC Element Quiz Answer

Here is the Element Quiz Answer:

The Question:
This element has a wide range of commercial uses: strobe lights, lasers and ion propulsion engines. The word "stranger" or "strange one". The color "blue". Which element is being described?

The Answer:
The element is Xenon (Xe). The name xenon is derived from the Greek word "xenon" meaning "strange one or stranger". Xenon makes up just 0.086 ppm by volume of air. Xenon is also approximately 4.5X heavier than air. Xenon headlights have a characteristic "blue" glow. Ramsay and Travers had to go to extreme lengths to discover xenon - they had to produced 10,000 pounds of krypton in their refrigeration system to obtain just one pound of xenon (fractional distillation of air methodology).

The winner of the weekly element quiz is Leland Woodall, CSTech, and Robert Welch, Moog Components Group, and they will split the services of Clumpy and Kloumpios for the week. The time stamp for their answers from the Rockwell Collins firewall was so close that it was easier to call it a tie!

EQAB reviewed Doug's "Pulsium" submission and after extensive research has again disqualified his response. The EQAB investigation revealed that pulsars emit electromagnetic radation which is not observable in the visible spectrum. And the color of a pulsar will be dictated by its temperature which means colors other than blue are possible.

However, EQAB did learn a new fact as part of its research - the two Pioneer spacecraft plaques have Earth's position documented by 14 specific pulsars relative to our Sun thus providing anyone who bumps into those spacecraft the ability to calculate our location in terms of both space and time. Not sure if that is a good thing or not.................

So far Clumpy and Kloumpios have done the following:

Week 81 Mordechai Kirshenbaum
-The guys are very lucky. This week, most of the country is on vacation .
They are also going to enjoy a great weather. Tell me when they are going to arrive at Ben Gurion Intl airport. Starting last Saturday and until Friday, we have Passover Holiday and most of the people don't work. Our tin/lead and lead-free assembly lines were closed on April 2nd. So the boys and I are going to tour the country. I hope next Sunday they will do some work to start the assembly lines just before leaving Israel.

Week 81 Jim West, N.S. International
-The boys arrived late Sunday and I had them over for a nice home cooked meal, which is my favorite meal that my wife prepared and consisted of roast beef, potatoes, carrots and broccoli....yum! Shared with them some of my diverse adult beverages and told them to enjoy but also to take it easy as I had a big week planned for them. Well, the evening went on fine but the adult beverages took over and left all of us feeling a little rough
the next morning :-0 So, we started our Monday morning off a little late
and it took us a better part of the day to get moving. The boys are hard workers and they helped me with multiple projects this week and made my job a little easier and I believe they felt a sense of accomplishment, even though we didn't get off to a good start the beginning of the week. They are primed and raring to go for the next lucky individual that gets their services.

Week 82 Leland Woodall, CSTech Inc
-assisted with ????

Week 82 Robert Welch, Moog Components Group -assisted with ????

Everyone have a safe week.
