Here is the Element Quiz Answer:
The Question:
This element was not produced in pure form until 1937. In the early 1940s
the US Air Force "appropriated" nearly all of this element for use in
military aircraft. It is used in high intensity lamps for stadium lighting
and nickel alkaline storage batteries. Which element is being described?
The Answer:
The element is Scandium (Sc)! Scandium is often used in stadium lighting as
the spectrum produced is very similar to natural light. Scandium is widely
distributed on the Earth at a level of 5 ppm. Scandium is more prevalent in
the sun and a number of stars. Scandium is often found in the same ores
that contain tin and tungsten.

- I can hear the rumble of John Deeres coming up the hill, 2 minutes and
they will be here. Their relatives have been told and replied that they
should not expect good food as they are in the Lenten fast, as are many
people here, awaiting the Orthodox Easter, a week after the Western one. All
animal products forbidden, virtually vegan. In the last week, only dry bread
and water are allowed, not even olive oil. Happily, the boys will be well
fed chez Brian, as he does not go along with fasting; I have a big
lump of leg of pork marinating in wine and spices for a good roast for
dinner this evening. There is a big thumping at the door...
Week 81 Mordechai Kirshenbaum
-The guys are very lucky. This week, most of the country is on vacation .
They are also going to enjoy a great weather. Tell me when they are going
to arrive at Ben Gurion Intl airport. Starting last Saturday and until
Friday, we have Passover Holiday and most of the people don't work. Our
tin/lead and lead-free assembly lines were closed on April 2nd. So the boys
and I are going to tour the country. I hope next Sunday they will do some
work to start the assembly lines just before leaving Israel.
