Hi Jack,
First, let me Thank You for the nice report form APEX. I was not able to attend this year.
Regarding this poll, in the past I very rarely teardropped unless asked specifically by a customer. At my new employer, teardropping has become required due to the fabricators needs. As was mentioned by other designers to this thread, many fabricators have their process in order.OR, I have heard rumour, just a rumour, they add it to your gerbers on their own... rumour right?Perhaps there should be another poll regarding some of the major fabricators and their requirements? Bob McCreight, C.I.D.

INFORMAL POLL:

How many of you designers routinely add teardropping or keyholing or
snowmans(?)
or any other form of copper "pad to trace" fillet to your conductive layers?

(I would also be interested to know how many DON'T,
if you are brave enough to confess in public...)

thanks,
Jack
