Hi Rich,

We missed you in San Diego.

It may very well be that MIL-I-46058 mentions edge coverage, but whether it does or not, keep in mind that there is no solder mask / resist on the card edges. Dependent upon your operating environment, delimitation may be an issue, so coat the edges would be the recommendation.

You might also check IEC 61086, that might have some mention of the issue.
