The problem with peelable maskants is that they do not disappear in the wash, they will clog the filters and present FOD on the workbench surfaces, rub off, etc.

Dave,

I agree with Steve, we use Wondermask but the 'P' variant which is peelable; comes off very easily when warm leaving no residue.
We use it for BGAs as large 50mm square, running a line down two opposing sides works a treat.

Hi Dave,

What about Techspray WSOL mask? I have used it for big heavy SMT power inductors when they've been on both sides of the board because they've fallen off once in a while during the second reflow. Haven't used it on BGA's though...
