Subject: Element Quiz Answer
To: TechNet E-Mail Forum <[log in to unmask]>

Here is the Element Quiz Answer:

The Question:
This element is one of the best catalyst's on the planet for a wide variety
of processes. It is considered a rare metal, making up only 1 part per 100
million parts of the Earth's crust. It can be worked into thin sheets and
drawn into very thin wire form. It's name is derived from two mythological
Greek figures. What element is being described?

The Answer:
The element is Palladium (Pd). Palladium derives its name from the asteroid
Pallas, the name for two mythological Greek figures, one male and one
female. Palladium can absorb 900 times its volume in hydrogen gas which is
a unique characteristic and makes it a critical industry catalyst.
Originally palladium was called "white gold" by Brazilian miners as it was
often found in gold ore.

The winner of the weekly element quiz is Brian Ellis and he will get the
services of Clumpy and Kloumpios for the week. After a week of "wonderful
small town" immersion with Jim West, the boys caught a cargo flight to get
to Cyrus to see Brian.

So far Clumpy and Kloumpios have done the following:

-The boys arrived safe and sound at Steve Gregory's house in Boise on
Monday morning. They wisely decided the Electra glide was far too
cumbersome for even the 4 gnomes to handle, so they got to work fabricating
a motorcycle trailer to tow behind the tractor. They got on the road
Wednesday evening, and drove the 600 mile trek non-stop, rotating shifts
since there were 4 of them. At 25 MPH, it took them 24 hrs. to get to my
house in Oak Harbor, WA. They arrived late last night and unloaded the
trailer before hitting the rack.My wife insisted on making them comfortable
for the night, so we set up the inflatable mattress on the living room
floor. Those guys can really snore up a storm! Pix to follow on Steve's
site later this weekend after we take them sight-seeing while waiting for
the cargo plane to depart from Bellingham airport.

Week 65 Jim West, N.S. International
- Awesome, good timing as I have a few good projects that start this week.
We are located in Ohio in-between Columbus and Cincinnati. The town we are
near is Sabina Ohio and it's a classic one traffic light, don't blink or
you'll miss the whole town as you are driving through. The boys might
enjoy a setting like this with all the farmers and their tractors and
animals and such. I'll get the boys right to work after they arrive. I'm
in the process of putting together a new proto-type line for the products
we make, so their help comes at an excellent time. Send them my way Ed!
The quite night life and simple surroundings might be good for the boys.

Week 66, Brian Ellis
- assisted with ????

Everyone have a safe week.
