Yes. We had to cut costs here, so we just put a Beano pill in each bag and then seal it. No vacuum sealer is needed. It seems to work quite well. The bags crinkle up a little bit due to the internal vacuum that takes place after sealing.

you might want to use some gas absorbent, such as RP-system from  
Mitsubishi chemical.   Depend upon what type of the gas, you need  
select proper absorbent...
