As I know it ESD bags are essentially faraday shields, so poking a hole in the bag to allow the pressure to equalize should not affect the ESD characteristics. This assumes that the ingress of moisture is not an issue.

Subject: [TN] Vented ESD Bags

Anyone have a source on vented ESD static shielding bags. We have an issue of gas buildup on one of our products and the engineers want the ESD static shielding bag to be able to have vent while maintaining ESD protection.
