Subject: [TN] Element Quiz Answer
Here is the Element Quiz Answer:
The Question:
This element is is a dark reddish liquid at room temperature and causes severe burns if spilled on the skin. The primary source of this element is from deep brine wells and underground salt mines. As a pesticide, this element's compounds are very effective again parasitic nematodes. What element is being described?
The Answer:
The element is Bromine (Br). Bromine is the only nonmetallic element that is liquid at normal room temperatures. Bromine was used for centuries before it was finally identified - a sea mussel secrets a liquid, comprised of a bromine compound, that was used as an expensive dye - Tyrian purple. A past major use of bromine was as ethylene dibromide, an antiknock agent for leaded gasoline.
The winner of the weekly element quiz will is Ravinder Ajmani, HGST and will get the services of Clumpy and Kloumpios for the week. Ravinder, let me know where your facility is located and I'll get the boys heading that way. They are not really happy with the current weather in the Midwest and are hoping you are in a warmer local.
So far Clumpy and Kloumpios have done the following:

- Awesome, good timing as I have a few good projects that start this week.
We are located in Ohio in-between Columbus and Cincinnati. The town we are near is Sabina Ohio and it's a classic one traffic light, don't blink or you'll miss the whole town as you are driving through. The boys might enjoy a setting like this with all the farmers and their tractors and animals and such. I'll get the boys right to work after they arrive. I'm in the process of putting together a new proto-type line for the products we make, so their help comes at an excellent time. Send them my way Ed!
The quite night life and simple surroundings might be good for the boys.
Week 66, Brian Ellis
- Wow! The boys have been here for two weeks. I haven't had much for them to do, so they've been chugging down to the beach nearly every day, as last week was an Indian summer with temperatures in the upper 20s, no doubt the last of the year's good weather. It broke with violent thunderstorms a couple of days ago. They have also visited the family and I took them to the top of Mount Olympus where they communed with the gods. They are now fit, well, and are raring to go on to their next mission, wherever that may be.
Week 67, Ravinder Ajmani, HGST
- assisted with ????
Everyone have a safe week.
