HI Jim - a couple of other possible root causes - (1) corner leads are
often the ground pins on packages so if the pin did not get hot enough then
solder won't wet to it; (2) As others have said, what about the corner lead
being bent?; (2) kind of a reach but what about the corner lead having poor
plating or poor solderability? Usually other pins would show the same issue
on this root cause.
