Here is the Element Quiz Answer;

The Question:
This element is derives its name from an ore mined in a specific region of
ancient Greece. This element has magnetic properties. Huge amounts of this
element are found in the ocean. This element has been found in pure form in
meteorites. This element is found in brewer's yeast. What element is being
described?

The Answer:
The element is Manganese (Mn). Manganese derives its name from the ore
magnesite (or dolomite) which at one time was mined from the ancient Greek
region of Magnesia. Nodules of magnesium are found on the ocean floor (in
excess of millions of tons) but a cost effective recovery method has not
been found. Manganese plays a significant role in the composition of many
modern steels.

The winner of the weekly element quiz is Ed Popielarski and he will get
the services of Clumpy
and Kloumpios for the week. Leland had the right ore but did not submit the
element name (you might ask Doug for advice on filing a protest). The boys
hopped on a cargo flight and are heading to San Francisco on the way to
Ed's facility.

So far Clumpy and Kloumpios have done the following:

- The boys were a bit taken aback when they arrived at our new facility and
it took a while to get them to stay still long enough for their photos to
be taken for the new ID access cards. They've been busy all week working
on conformal coating drawings and decorating the hallway of my house. We're
having a new kitchen delivered in a few weeks so as a reward I've told them
they can eat up every bit of food they can find in the current kitchen. I
guess we'll be eating out tonight!

Week 62 Leland Woodall
- assisted with ????

Week 62 Brien Bush, Cirtronics
- assisted with ????

Week 63 Pat Goodyear, PGE
- Sweeet, send the boys on their tractors, time for refuel. Been working
at the power plant for a month, tell them to be ready for nights next
week. I've got some neutrons for them to sweep up and refill.

Week 64 Ed Popielarski
- ????

Everyone have a safe week.
