Victor, Chris, et al., OI-645 came out in 1993. At one time I was chair of the committee (immediately after it was published), and had plans to correct some of the typographical and formatting errors. Plans which did not bear fruit. If anyone is interested and wants some perspective, I wrote, with the assistance of a co-author and Mike Buetow, an article in the Sep 2014 PCDF/CA that prominently mentions OI-645. Louis Hart

Hi Victor
It is OI-645 (OI for Optical Inspection)
https://portal.ipc.org/Purchase/ProductDetail.aspx?Product_code=ea182080-b586-db11-a4eb-005056875b22

There is a related resolution target with P/N IPC-OI-1951, based upon MIL-STD-150A (USAF 1951) mathematical standard.
The tool can be used to assess resolving power from human eye to 645 lp/mm.
