Single point system.
Choices include move the board or move the pot, wetted, unwetted nozzle.
Fluxers include inkjet type, highly programable.
Pre heater required if using low VOC or OA flux, preferably with a
convection element.
Alcohol fluxes are much more forgiving, best if preheated.

Your requirment represents the typical US one. Pick a range of products and
try them at a supplier.
The machines I prefer run 6x24 and can be configured differently as the
line changes.
They have mass soldering capabilitity as well as single point solderin in
the same machine due to throughput requirements. They can run with or
without pallets.
I have run some with two solderpots lead and lead free in the same machine.

Whatever machine you pick make sure there is service in the same country.
I have machines that have only 1 FSE in the US/Canada region.
Parts come from EU. Corporate picked them based on EU and Asia.

Specify:
Flux type
Nozzle wetted or not and size
Preheat required
Pallets or PCB's
Solder type, everyone can provide a good lead free solution now. Used
machines are another matter.
Range of PCB sizes, layer counts and components to be soldered.

Do the PCB's meet any of the design guidelines for selective solder?
If there are no thermal reliefs on power and ground they will be tough to
solder.
Clearances vary with machine and wetted vs unwetted nozzle.
Wetted nozzles are easier to keep in spec but require regular maintenance
to keep wetted.
Unwetted clog more readily than wetted.
Do you have nitrogen available for inerting?
How good is it?
What does machnie manufacturer spec?
Some require very pure N2.

Something to mull over before speaking to reps.
