Hi folks - Here is the Element Quiz Answer:

The Question:
This element is zero commercial uses and exists in only nuclear laboratories.
It is not found in nature or the Earth's crust. The element is formed in a
5 step decay process initiated with Pu-239.What element is being described?

The Answer:
The element is Einsteinium (Es)! Einsteinium was first discovered as part
of the radioactive fallout from the Eniwetok Atoll hydrogen bomb testing in
1952. However, its discovery was kept secret until 1955. If you start with
Pu-239, the decay progress goes: Pu-239 = Am-241 = Cm-242 = Bk-249 = Cf-250
= Es-253!

The winner of the weekly element quiz will is Phil Bavaro, L3 Com, and he

- There is a bamboo patch in the back of my yard that was damaged by
the snow this winter, I would be grateful if the boys would clear
the fallen stalks. I hope they brought their rubber hip boots, that
part of the yard is very muddy and it's raining today.

Week 52 Greg Munie, IPC
 - Lots to do in the vineyard so the work load will help them stay
out of trouble. That and the fact that the Abbot has locked the wine
cellar in anticipation of their visit.

Week 53 Leland Woodall, CSTech Inc.
- Picked the boys up at RDU today and had them working on yard stuff
around the house. They really enjoyed working on my John Deere tire
replacement that I put down last week. Tomorrow we'll hit the plant
and they can assist with metrology chores like cross sections, CMM
measurements, and the occasional SEM analysis.

Week 54 Phil Bavaro, L-3 Com.
 -assisted with ????

Everyone have a safe week.
