Amol,

I/we use the green "tree" style lead formers for hand work if the parts are not already bent and trimmed. When we are building on our pick-n-place machine we use a machine made by Hepco. Feed in a whole reel and out comes the parts formed and trimmed for installation.

Phil

Subject: [TN] Axial component forming

Hello all,
What are folks out there using for axial component forming? I was looking for some pros and cons of using the plastic lead forming tools/templates (that look like a Christmas tree) versus using the pliers (or any other tools). Are there any items to look out for during the use of these templates?

Thanks,
Amol
