The boys have an incredible tolerance for alcohol, so don't try to drink
them under the table.

Wow, I will take the win, even if it is by disallowance (sorry Greg). I
usually never get even close. Does anyone know if the boys have any
problem with drinking Irish beer and Irish Whiskey? If they do, maybe I
have found my designated drivers for St Patties Day weekend. I'll bring
the boys with me to Las Vegas next week.

Subject: [TN] NTC Element Quiz Question Answer

Hi folks - Here is the Element Quiz Question Answer:

The Question:
This element is one of the REEs. You refine one million pounds of the
Earth's crust to yield 2.5 pounds of this element. It is alloyed with
vanadium to form spring steel. It is magnetic at very low temperatures.
What element is being described?

The Answer:
The element is Erbium (Er)! Erbium has an interesting naming history.
After Erbium's discovery, it was confused with the element "terbia" for
over 50 years. In 1877 the chemistry profession decided to settle the
matter - and they got it wrong. For years erbium was incorrectly called
terbium and vise versa. Erbium oxide is pink and is used to make colored
glass.

The winner of the weekly element quiz is Phil Bavaro, L-3 Communications
and he will get the services of Clumpy and Kloumpios for the week. Greg
Munie would have been the winner but he provided a incorrect first
submission so EQQAB had to disallow his correct but second response. The
boys caught a early cargo flight out of Cedar Rapids and are heading to
Phil's facility. There will be no EQQ next week as the boys will be
attending the APEX show and networking with their TechNet friends.

The EQQAB has submitted Doug's response of "coldium, Brr" for
clarification to the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry
(IUPAC) who is the organization responsible for approving the element
names/symbols. Since the IUPAC has never used a three letter element,
EQQAB does not believe the clarification will go in Doug's favor. Its also
well known that the International Tribunal of Naming Stuff and IUPAC
relationship is very contentious (some huge dispute about which is better,
Diet Coke or Diet Mt. Dew).

So far Clumpy and Kloumpios have done the following:
