Hi Ed - you also should have listed the link to the paper you wrote up 
which is an excellent read and includes the embrittlement calculation 
equations. I have my co-ops read the paper as an introduction to the 
topic.

Guy,

The accepted limits range from 3 - 5 wt% gold in the solder, so one must
calculate by weight, not volume.
