I am finding as I design tighter and tighter boards, especially with
0201's, the ref des just no longer fit. I've been moving ref. des to
the assembly layer and leaving them off of the PCB, and where I can,
I run leader lines to their positions. I've been trying to stay with
1.25mm height with .125mm line width. I know it may vary between
board shop capabilities, but what is the smallest reasonable ref.
des. size that most shops can deal with today.
Thanks,
David Baldwin CID+
