Hi again

I believe that Kovar alloys are tempered as part of their material treatment. Does this imply that all Kovar based leads, which are widely used on standard TH DIL's can not be clinched or cut ?

Hi All

IPC spec's have requirements on clinching and cutting of "tempered leads". Can anyone advise me of the typical components which would have such leads ? Also, would these always be iron based alloys ?
