The ICOM 5000 became, under my design, the ICOM 8000 in order that it could be sold into the European market - CE and all that.

Westek, who originally designed and built the ICOM’s, was then sold to Stoelting who decided that, with the plethora of competitors to the product, coupled with the urgent need to update the software, decided to drop the product(s).

If you were looking for replacement parts I might be able to help.
