This defect does not appear to be crazing, rather a significant 
rupturing of the adjacent glass fiber bundle during drilling and more 
visible after desmear.  For a laminate material prone to failing CAF 
resistance requirements, the extent of this rupturing facilitates 
entrapment of ionics that can contribute to early resistance failures.
