Hello technetters,

Could someone enlighten me on how AOI is used in PCB fabrication? Is it used to inspect finished boards after the solder mask, silkscreen, final drill and routing operations? Or is it only used to inspect conductor patterns?

I am trying to understand if AOI could detect defects in solder mask, silkscreen, missing mouse bites, etc.
