Hey, the FEQAB and I were in a hurry to go lead-free ballistics testing of
North American waterfowl and we picked the wrong word - it happens and
unfortunately you are still disqualified.

You doofus. 4 out of 5 dentist IS a consensus, just not unanimous.

Hi folks - Here is the Friday Element Quiz Answer:

The Question:
This element is the 12th most produced chemical in the United States. A
compound of this element was an ingredient in toothpaste and cough syrup
until it was banned. The product "Carbona". What element is being
described?

The Answer:
The element is Chlorine (Cl). The name for chlorine was derived from the
Greek word "khloros" which means "greenish yellow". Carbon tetrachloride
(CCl4) was used for dry cleaning of clothing until it was found to be a
carcinogen (Carbona = ether + CCl4). Carl Wilhelm Scheele actually
discovered chlorine when he mixed manganese dioxide with muriatic acid
resulting in a pungent, greenish yellow gas. Sir Humphry Davy later
investigated this gas further resulting in the discovery of the element.
Chlorine also forms 4 different types of oxides: Cl2O, ClO2, Cl2O6, Cl2O7.

The winner of the weekly element quiz is Raye Rivera, Canoga Perkins and
will get the services of Clumpy and Kloumpios for the week. Raye - let me
know where your facility is located and I'll have the boys get going so
you can put them to work. Given their tans, I think Heidi let them spend
more time on the beach than working with the tool & die team but I may be
wrong (they sure liked being in Florida last week).

The FEQAB did review Doug's submission of "Dazzlium" and since they did
not have expertise in the dental technical field, consulted with the
American Dental Association (ADA). The ADA has a crack group of 5 dentists
who routinely assess and vote on important dental topics. When posed the
question of Doug's "Dazzlium", only 4 of 5 dentists could agree with his
information. The FEQAB therefore could not award Doug's submission as
acceptable since there was no ADA consensus.

The next Friday Element Quiz will be issued at approximately 3AM Central
Standard Time US on Friday, Nov. 8th.

So far Clumpy and Kloumpios have done the following:

precision metal stamping this week! I hope they brought sunglasses and
swimsuits, because it's still beach weather here in sunny South Florida,
and they should have plenty of time to work on their tan.
