Not an exoskeleton beastie but, in the middle of last century, we had a
5 kW transmitter go down. When the alarm went off I rushed to the transmitter room, to be greeted by a cloud of foul-smelling smoke. I grabbed a CO2 extinguisher and opened the back doors to see a small flame coming from the tank circuit which was at 3200 V DC + any RF signal. After the CO2 had sublimated, I found the remains of a chameleon that must have crawled in the ventilation holes at the bottom of the rack. Yes, it had changed colour, to black.

Took about GB£5,000 to repair that Tx.
