We use acrylic cc. Any introduction of silicone into the process wreaks havoc with us. We have to stay with the rubber adhesive tapes. Even so, we even pick up dewetting when the tape distributor uses silicone on the blades to slice the tape logs into the roll sizes we order. So now we have to tell them not to use silicone when slicing our order.

Do you think the silicone adhesive on Kapton and Shercon tapes can create a manufacturing issue during conformal coating or for sensitive electronics?
