I admit to being skeptical as well.  Others use the same engine as I do.  It
has one plug on top of the head and one on the side.  By removing the side
plug they claim to have an exceptional view of the valves.  I wonder just
how the depth of field is going to be perceived by a more discerning user.
Time will tell.

 

If nothing else, I figure that it can be used for multiple non-biological
activities around the house!

I am on the hunt for a high end fiber optic borescope for my lab.  # of
pixels, fiber OD, FoV, depth of field, fiber length and ability to be hooked
to a camera/monitor system are all things of interest.

This is NOT for looking under BGAs. We already have an endoscope.
