Did you check your inventory to verify that it is not over by 2?
Or could they be in the repair/test loop?
The double entry part of bookkeeping.

At an EMS we ere embarrassed a few times on things that could not possibly
be missed showing up on our part count as excess. One item was a top cover
5 ft x 2 ft. It occurred on rack mount modules as well.

Also had the problem of theft at the customers site. Fortunately the pallet
had been signed for before it disappeared with $100k of product. Occasional
individual units pilfered from pallet. Started to take pictures of pallet
as the individual serial numbers were already tracked.
