Dear Technet,
We are a CEM and have been requested to supply certificates to
demonstrate that the products we manufacture for a customer are
compliant with Proposition 65 "The Safe Water and Toxic Enforcement Act
of 1986" - State of California USA.
A pragmatic reading of the rules seems to say that as we are not
knowingly or intentionally exposing anyone to a listed chemical and
therefore we can just tell the customer that. The alternate view is
almost too horrific to consider.
I cannot imagine we are the first to be asked this question, what is the
normal response if you are a medium sized CEM.
Regards
Rex
