Larry, I believe your thesis is incorrect, assuming by effect you mean force. Local gravitational force of Moon could not be greater than that of Earth. If the only thing keeping them from contact is you between the two, your weight would be 5/6 of what it is now.

Incidentally, when I was a boy reading science fiction comic books, Moon's fate was said to be ultimate approach to Earth which would break it into pieces such that the planet would a Saturn-like ring. Last I heard Moon is receding and will eventually be in a geostationary orbit. Louis Hart

By the time the Moon exerts a local gravitational effect greater than the Earth's, it is moments to collision..
The alternative is a fast low orbit that rips the earth and the moon apart.
You would have company flying to the moon. Like flying in the middle of an
EF5 tornado. The landfill is flying with you.
