You don't want to mix the fluxes, but I don't see how that is a problem because after the SMT process all of the water soluble flux should be gone.
The issue is..."should be".
But this is actually a common practice in the industry. It could only lead to problems if the original water soluble flux is not cleaned completely.
Maybe.

I have been looking in the archives but can't seem to find what I want an answer to . I have a customer who wants us to use water soluble RoHS for the SMT process but wants no-clean RoHS for the touch-up. Is this recommended? Regards Steve Kelly
