Tough to put into practice. With masking you want to get the masking
material off before the coating has completely cured to minimize lifting
and peeling. The washing machine could damage that uncured coating. Plus
the coating is covering the masking so the water will not touch the masking
to dissolve it until the coating is removed from it first. I tried it with
parylene and we had to pick holes in the film so the water could access the
masking then go back and trim off the excess after the masking dissolved
and we were left with a "tent" of film

Re-usable boots are ideal but could be costly when you have many different
style/sizes of connectors.

Like we tell all our customers, cheapest way to coat something is leave off
all the connectors!!
